[Artist Of The Week] Britney Spears - Top 5 Videos
Britney Spears - Top 5 Videos
First of all I want to apologize if this post has some errors, because i'm almost sleeping but I need to post this like....now!
Go ahead and please, oh please, don't hit me!
5 - Toxic from In The Zone (2003)
WOW?... WAIT... WOW? WHAT? 5?
Yes, you're not blind or sick.
This video directed by Joseph Kahn is Epic, really expensive, has a great story created by Britney and those Diamonds and Red wig are unforgettable but I think there are other videos that are way more well produced than Toxic.
4 - Piece Of Me from Blackout (2007)
This video needs to be here because this is not like Circus, a metaphor about Britney's Life, this is her real life: a total mess.
This doesn't need a description because we all know what her life was back in 2007.
Wayne Isham directed this epic video and showed us a little of Britney's Life.
3 - Criminal from Femme Fatale (2011)
I'm not gonna lie. The song is a masterpiece and the video is perfect.
This video was directed by one of my favorite directors that Britney has ever worked, Chris Marrs Piliero.
Britney is saved by a guy when her boyfriend is attacking her, then she falls in love and this love is not rational it's physical.
The story, the special effects, make up and the aspect of the video are beautiful and the whole thing looks like a mini-movie. Unfortunately the video is classified as +18, thanks Vevo.
2 - Circus from Circus (2008)
This video is one of my favorites because I love the scenarios, the magical atmosphere, the choreography and the way every scene is linked because it gives the idea that there is a continuation between scenes.
Britney looks stunning at the beginning of the video, it is something new and totally different of her old videos and it is a metaphor for her life and career.
The video was directed by Francis Lawrence who directed Constantine, one of my favorite movies.
1 - Stronger from Oops! I Did It Again (2000)
Surprised? I think you are!
This is my favorite video of Britney's collection and you're wondering why.
Stronger has something that I love: Story and Meaning.
The video was directed by Joseph Khan and the concept was created by Britney...and let me tell you that Britney's idea is not that deep as my idea.
Our mind is fabulous and can put some of our inner fears and thoughts in everything we do and we don't even know that we left a part of us there.
So those are the meanings that I found:
- Chair, Wind and Rain: Obstacles
- Clothes: Ripped
- Road: Life
- Colors: Dark, Metallic Colors, White = Loneliness
- Chair, Wind and Rain: Obstacles
- Clothes: Ripped
- Road: Life
- Colors: Dark, Metallic Colors, White = Loneliness
So let's write a paragraph about these things.
Life is not easy so the video happens during a wild storm and Britney wears ripped clothes which means that she has struggled through some obstacles but they are making her stronger.
She controls her life and fights with a chair that is her new obstacle and she can't defeat it but after a while she's able to win.
We see Britney driving a car and she controls the wind and rain and that means power and domination, a sign that she can continue her way through life that is represented by a dark street where she's walking alone.
I could write way more about this video but it's enough.
