Bioshock Infinite (2013) - Game Review

Bioshock Infinite (2013) - Game Review

So we're starting off our Games reviews with one of the best this year: Bioshock Infinite
This game as come a long way since first introduced. Elizabeth, the vigors and even the number of Songbirds appearances change from 2007 to 2013. However the game is beautifully well made with a huge plot twist that I think no one was expecting that ending and the fact that the more you think about it the more confused you are. But let's talk about the game itself.

First the history: The game begins with Booker DeWitt a man who must bring a girl back to New York (who we later found out her name is Elizabeth) in other to wipe way a debt - "bring us the girl and wipe away the debt" - which we hear alot throughout the video game. Then, after receiving a wood box with many things including Elizabeth's picture, Booker is drop off by two people and goes off to try and reach Colombia (a huge flying city) and when he gets there that's when the danger starts.

Now the visuals: The flying city of Colombia is amazingly stunning! When you enter Colombia the only thing that should come to your mind is: WOW! Even in combat the graphics are superb as well as the skylines that connect the entire city. Elizabeth is one of the few "companions" in games that actually look and feel like a real person. The expressions are fantastic and we should all give a round of applause for the team that made this possible (since they said it was a really hard thing to make). The vigors look awesome as well, especially the part when you gain a new one and you hands look different.

And finally the gameplay: This is one of the best, no doubt. It's fluid and it's never the same. Although the enemies are the same in every combat situation each one as something different. For instance when you fight Elizabeth's mother. The weapons in the game are very good and combined with the Vigors makes the fight easier and you a badass Booker. Oh and we could never forget the Sky-Hook. Amazing object!

With all this things said here comes the verdict: 92/100 - An OUTSTANDING game that will be remembered for ages. And since this is our first review in the game department I'll leave you with a video.
And don't forget to play!

"Booker, catch! "
